Glasteufel GmbH – showers, mirrors, glazing

Privacy policy

Translation for convenience – the German privacy policy is binding.

1. Controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data on this website is:

  • Glasteufel GmbH
  • Parkstraße 1a
  • 12103 Berlin
  • Phone 030 76 00 75 40
  • Email info@glasteufel.de

Managing directors: Dirk Artz, Michael Schönfelder. We are not required to appoint a data protection officer, as fewer than 20 people at our company are regularly involved in processing personal data (§ 38 BDSG); for questions about data protection, write to us at info@glasteufel.de.

2. The essentials

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising services and loads no content from other servers – the font and all images also come from our own web space. Personal data is only processed when you open the pages (server log), write to us using the enquiry form or contact us by email or phone.

3. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with IONOS; under it, IONOS processes the data within the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Each time a page is opened, the server automatically stores: IP address, date and time, the address requested, amount of data transferred, status code, the previously visited page (referrer) and browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the website securely and reliably and to detect attacks (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). IONOS keeps these logs for no more than seven days; they are then deleted. We do not analyse them to identify visitors.

The connection is encrypted with TLS (https).

4. Enquiry form

You can use the enquiry form to describe your project. We process: topic, name, phone number and/or email address, optionally postcode and town, preferred timeframe, your description and up to five photos you upload.

Your browser reduces the size of the photos before sending. A program on our web space (IONOS) then sends the enquiry as an email with the photos attached to our mailbox; nothing is stored on the website itself. The email is kept in our IONOS mailbox.

The purpose is to handle your enquiry, for example a call back, a measuring appointment or a quote. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (steps prior to entering into a contract), for general questions Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (our interest in answering enquiries). Required fields are only what we need to reply; without them we cannot handle the enquiry.

Please avoid uploading photos in which people can be recognised.

Spam protection: to prevent mass misuse of the form, the web space remembers for one hour how many enquiries came from an internet connection – only a checksum of the IP address is stored for this, not the address itself; it is then deleted (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). There is also an invisible field and a minimum time for filling in the form. We do not use services from other providers (such as a captcha).

Retention: if an order results, we keep the enquiry with the order documents for as long as commercial and tax law require (up to ten years, § 257 HGB, § 147 AO). If no order results, we delete it after twelve months at the latest.

5. Contact by email and phone

If you call or write to us, we process your details to handle your request (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR). Retention is the same as for the enquiry form.

6. Storage in the browser

We do not set cookies. Only if you choose “Save choice” in the privacy settings does your browser store this choice with the date in its local storage (key “glasteufel-datenschutz”) so that the website remembers it. It is not transmitted to us; you can delete it in your browser settings. The legal basis is § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG (strictly necessary for the service you requested).

7. Links to other websites

The website links to other services: our business profile on Google (reviews and directions in Google Maps), our pages on Facebook, YouTube and Instagram, the manufacturer Frerichs Glas, and phone and email apps. The buttons for the social networks are plain links without embedded content. Data is only transferred to the other provider when you click the link; their privacy policy then applies. The Google reviews on the home page are a stored excerpt – opening the page does not query Google.

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access to the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) and restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
  • data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
  • object to processing based on Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR)
  • withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7 (3) GDPR)

To do so, write to us at info@glasteufel.de or by post to the address above.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, www.datenschutz-berlin.de.

9. No automated decisions

We do not make automated decisions or create profiles. We only pass on data where this is necessary to handle your enquiry or where we are legally obliged to do so.

You can view and change your choice at any time in the .
